with school just right around the corner i could hardly wait to share my lunch box notes with you.
i designed these notes last year in celebration of learning. in celebration of imagination. in celebration of your little one’s creativity and their early years of school. the notes are blank on the back so that you can add your special love note or words of encouragement and praise to be found during the school day.
i will have to live vicariously through those of you with little people young enough to enjoy finding these in their lunch box or backpacks. i left a few in my boy’s lunches last year (one was starting middle school) and was promptly told that i may NEVER do that again! well, i had to try!
i am excited to offer this collection in a printable pdf format.
each set of 10 notes (a set for both boys and girls) is packaged to look like a miniature lunch box tied with a ribbon. the notes measure 3 inches square.
print & enjoy. inspire & encourage. celebrate your little scholar.
p.s. even if YOU don’t have school age children, wouldn’t these make the cutest gifts for someone who does?

step 1: to assemble the outside packaging for the lunch box notes you will need the following supplies.
- glue stick or double sided tape
- scissors
- stapler
- hole punch
- scoring “cutter” (i purchased mine at michael’s)
- ribbon
step 2: using a scoring blade (you can also do this by hand) score the two lines in the center of the lunch box template.
step 3: fold the lunch box together and stable the two sides. this will hold it together evenly for the following steps.

step 4: using a hole punch, punch a hole in the handle. using the trim marks alongside the handle cut around the top of the lunch box packaging.
step 5: the file comes with a white strip that will used to hold the notes in place. using the score lines score the paper and fold accordingly.
step 6: using a glue stick or double sided tape, glue the tri-fold strip to the back side of the packaging.
step 7: place lunch box notes in center of tri-fold and close packaging. tied with coordinating ribbon.

you now have a finished product filled with an adorable set of notes.

Lauren, love these! Can’t wait to get my hands on these!
Good morning!
I have been so busy that I hadn’t noticed til this morning while doing all my other downloads, that I didn’t receive yours. I ordered them on July 31st. There must be a setting on my mail or something, I know your husband mentioned it last time when I didn’t receive the file.
Do you mind sending it to vlmurray586@roadrunner.com? I believe that was successful last time! Thanks so much!
Have a great day…and congrats on the feature!! Love seeing you all over the blogs…and looking forward to pics from your martini party!
What kind of printer are you using to get such great color and definition? my inkjet blows through cartridges and never looks great.
Tracy,
I have an HP 2025 color laser printer. It does an AMAZING job.
